The Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative is a gigantic scam and waste of money, based on the scientifically unfounded notion that carbon dioxide is a "pollutant." Correction: It IS a pollutant when Democrats and radical environmentalists exhale their bilge about "global warming" or "climate change," both of which are naturally occuring phenomena that have taken place since the earth was formed. Warming, or cooling, can only be measured on a geologic time frame, not because some radical politicians or idiots like ALGore want to use it as a means of government control over the world population. And what warming did we experience over the short term? About 0.3 degrees C between 1978-1998, for which some nutcases want to throw a wrench into the workings of modern civilization.
Now, of course, experts are predicting future cooling. Over the course of the 20th century, it is only during the period 1978-1998 that CO2 and temperatures rose in tandem. This is coincidental, not causative. In the other 80 years, there isn't even a coincidental link.
