Election History

Robles lost his first bid in 2004 to become a state representative in a primary against incumbent Rep. Art Feltman. When Feltman retired in 2008, Robles was able to win the seat.

Background

Robles was a Hartford police officer until he was fired following an investigation that concluded he fabricated documents to get paid for being on duty while working private jobs. Those double billings tallied $9,200 over a 15-month period, reported the Hartford Courant.

Robles is the first Puerto Rican elected from his South Hartford district, reflecting the city's growing Latino population.

Hector and his wife Ana, have three children; six year old Madelyn, and two older teenagers Noel and Jessica.
