Election History

Tallarita was elected in 1998, winning 57 percent of the vote. Cross-endorsed by the Working Families Party in 2010, the Enfield Democrat defeated GOP challenger Tom Sirard by more than 1,100 votes.

Background

Tallarita is a former Enfield Town Council member. She is the first woman elected to the legislature from Enfield. Tallarita is an advocate of lifting the state ban on Sunday liquor sales.

Financial Disclosure

Tallarita reported outside income in 2010 from Enfield Federal Savings. She owns a home in Enfield. She reported owning no securities value at more than $5,000.Tallarita filed a confidential addendum listing any debts exceeding $10,000.
