Esposito was elected in 1992, succeeding Democrat Joseph A. Adamo. In 2010, Esposito was cross-endorsed by the Working Families Party and faced no opposition.
Esposito was named a deputy majority leader in 2009.
2008 Financial Disclosure: Esposito, who retired recently after running his own business, R&L Auto Service, reported no income other than his legislative wages and Social Security. He and his wife, Kathleen Esposito, reported owning no real estate and no securities worth more than $5,000.He filed a confidential addendum listing any debts exceeding $10,000. He declined to release the addendum, as is his choice under the law.A note on financial disclosure: Every spring, officials are required to disclose the ownership of real estate, the source of any income exceeding $1,000 in the previous calendar year and securities worth more than $5,000.
