Election History

Giegler unseated Democrat Grace M. Scire in November 2002 by 16 votes. Scire had won the seat by 2 votes in a special election Jan. 29, 2002 after Republican Mark Boughton resigned to become mayor of Danbury. Geigler was unopposed in 2010, and was cross-endorsed by the Independent Party.

Background

Geigler is a former administrator of a psychiatric outpatient clinic and has been active in community organizations in her hometown of Danbury.

Giegler reported no income other than her legisative salary. Her husband, Tom Giegler, owns an excavation contracting business.
