Background: Floren, a former ranking member of the Government Administration and Elections Committee, was the only House Republican to vote in 2009 for same-day voter registration.
Her district is one of the wealthiest in the United States, and the Florens seem to fit in. Their family foundation gave $10 million to Dartmouth College in 2006 to construct an athletic facility, the Floren Varsity House.
They live in Greenwich.

2008 Financial Disclosure: Floren reported no outside income. Her husband, Douglas C. Floren, is the co-founder and managing partner of DCF Capital, a hedge fund. They own homes in Greenwich and Steamboat Springs, Colo.
She reported owning no securities worth more than $5,000 and that her husband owns only three: Petrohawk Energy Corporation, Merck and General Electric.
They have no debts exceeding $10,000.
