Teachers' union names new leader

Mark Waxenberg has been tapped to become the executive director of the Connecticut Education Association, the state's largest teachers' union.
Waxenberg is a veteran at the state Capitol and has been through numerous political wars surrounding education policy changes. He replaces Mary Loftus Levine, who retired last month.
