McMahon goes negative -- on Murphy, not Shays

Did I sleep through the Aug. 14 primaries? Is Chris Murphy already the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate? And did Linda McMahon win her GOP contest with Chris Shays?

Murphy spent much of last night's debate with Susan Bysiewicz going after  McMahon. Today, McMahon released a commercial comparing her record as a jobs creator with Murphy, ignoring Shays.

Ms. McMahon will not create jobs or cut taxes- she will align with the other Republicans and not support the Middle Class. Simply because someone has made a lot of money in business and has a humble early background does NOT make them the candidate of choice.
The voters are tired of monied interests and folks who have a craving for power. We need more "Statemen/women", of which we have a short supply.
Mr. Murphy presents as a viable candidate with good ideas and seems civil and reasonable.
We will watch his campaign, but he surely seems to deserve the Democratic, Independent and maybe a few stray Republican votes
