Election history: Giuliano was elected in 2002 to this newly drawn shoreline district at the mouth of the Connecticut River. In 2008, her Democratic challenger was cross-endorsed by the Working Families Party.

Public financing: Giuliano qualified for $24,011.05 in public financing for her campaign under the Citizens' Election Program. She returned  $2,661.64 to the state.

2008 Financial Disclosure: Giuliano reported outside income from the Lyme-Old Lyme public schools. She reported no income for her husband, Joseph Giuliano. They own homes in Old Saybrook and Cape Coral, Fla.

They jointly own a mutual fund.

Giuliano filed a confidential addendum listing any debts exceeding $10,000. She declined to waive confidentiality, as allowed by law.
